Author's note: After reading Animal farm, we had to create our own country. This is what I came up with. This may be a solution to life, a system of laissez-faire
capitalism, Objective reality, and individualism. Rand dreamt of this society and so do I.
Country
I Objectivist Nation
goals:
The essential and main goal is to create a rather efficient world, and to work completely objectively. There will be trade, a free market, righteous business
plan, and a society for great joy. This is the valley mentioned in Atlas Shrugged, which is Ayn Rands book. We won't be out of danger, but we will be essentially
safe by using advanced technology and pure logic to live. Force will not be applied, and this nation will be the best one that will exist. The wish of
many objectivists will be coming true. It might be harsh, but it's a rather good way to live. Individualism is also another big goal.
seven commandments:
1. Be an objectivist, work accordingly, don't break laws and do what is right.
2. Be completely honest, do not go in circles, work hard, no favoritism in trade, and do not delay your products too long without a rational reason.
3. Never live for others, and swear this:
"I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine."
So in other words no altruism.
4. Socialism, communism, liberalism, democracy, and the graft pull system is forbidden. Do not work in unions or anything of the sort.
5. Do not act according to fairness, but accordingly to righteousness. Live a life of right, and not of equality.
6. Always be your own individual, and do not conform. Work for yourself and individually. Do not take the credit of others, and only serve the purpose of
yourself.
7. Feelings not emotions, be true, conservative, and respectable to yourself, and thus you will be to others. Act properly and formally, but freely, and
gaily.
why:
1. This makes a very good system, and it's peaceful. This way you don't have to force anyone since it's all rational thought.
2. This makes business and life easier. Not one will be unhappy, so we don't have to be serving as sacrifices to the happiness that others feel. A nation
full of liars do not work well, and will only become corrupted. This way it's not corrupted. Yes it might be rather cruel to some charitable people.
3. Being altruistic is not good as it only causes suffering. Living for others means you are picking masters and slaves. As you work for the sake of other
men you are pulled apart in every single way possible. You will soon be in so much pain you won't stand it any longer. You will complain and be harmful
to society. Why not from the beginning be independent, rely on oneself, and just live that way.
4. These systems men use to deal with one another is as they would put it "fair," but fair is unfair and wrong. Right is unfair, but correct. It's less
painful too. As we want to maintain these set of peaceful laws that will work only without the interruption of these systems. One such simple example which
relates to almost all of these. Some of these are only one or two steps away from it. This is USSR. The USA is a republic, so no it's nothing like it.
5. I explained this one in the last few.
6. One simple question:
Who in the world likes a nation of imposters who copies off one another, and there ways being the same? Looking like everyone else is not a good idea as
we are separate. We are not the same person. We have a mind, and as we wish we could choose to be different.
7. In order to be true and right you have to be controlled and proper. People will like you then.
How?
By living as individuals as individualists, conservatives, and objectivists. We can also watch who comes in so we can have a moderated place to know who
we can work with. Also the government is very important. It is very much like the republic system, but a hundred times more independent. The government
is only here as the law, the courts, forces, and patrols and nothing more. People will manage, and will be train to be individuals. The education system
will be theoretical and not practical. It will help individuals study the past, learn from it, but not dwell on it, and then how to move forward and think
for themselves.
Flag:
On either side a man stands, straight, tall, proud, alone, and independent. There is a wad of dollars and coins. Connecting this, is many lines. From the
individuals arm, a line connects them to the system of lines.
daily life in the country:
"Good-bye dearest," Bradley Brookers said as he gave his wife Allison a very sincere kiss. He held her thin frame in his strong muscular arms. Allison's
brown hair hung over his arms. He lets her go and helped her sit up. Bradley stood up and his blue eyes glancing down at her. Allison looked up into his
face and to his curly black hair.
"Good-bye, brad," She said softly standing up obediently to kiss him. He puts an arm around her and strokes her thick hair possessively knowing that he
owned her, and knowing that he also belonged to her.
"Have dinner ready by six, I'll be home," brad commanded her as he grabbed at his briefcase. He grabbed her white coat and put it on over her suit. She
slipped on her brown pumps.
Bradley was an airplane builder, and he worked his own firm. Allison was a seventh year teacher at the theoretical school. They both got into cars, and
they drove off.
Allison
Allison was sitting in her classroom and was waiting. A girl of about twelve with long blonde hair walked in. She smiled at Allison and sat down at one
of the ten desks. There was only ten students in Mrs. Brooker's class this year, and Gina was one of them.
"Did you have trouble completing your homework, Gina?" Allison asked concernedly. The last time they had class, Allison found that Gina and two others had
trouble with their math.
"I know I did very well," Gina said proudly smiling as she fished out her novels. Allison picked up her book by Charles Whitpeace, an expert philosopher
and an excellent technological individual. Whitpeace happen to be her philosophy teacher in High School back in the USA, and thus is the main reason of
her and bradley's meeting. Whitpeace first taught in kansas, but then moved down to California for a while and lived in Santa Monica. He now lived off
the coast of I Objectivist Nation in a boat house. He sometimes would join the theoretical school for field trips and the children admired him. He was
true, but also very kind. Soon the rest of the class had arrived, and they started. Allison taught the basics of pre-algebra theories, then they did English,
then science and then finally history. That took up the whole morning since school started at nine. At eleven fifty ten minutes before their lunch break
Allison did their daily quote. They would engage everyday in a philosophical discusssion with a quote said by a philosopher. They had went over Socrates,
aristotle, rand, and of course whitpeace. These were very famous figures to the objectivists. They went over Plato once to analyze how mystical he was.
Bradley
He had arrived at his office, and started work immediately. He sketched equations for the most efficient engines. He drew long lasting plane plans, and
got a few phone calls from people. At about nine thirty bradley picked up the phone and called Whi'tpeace. They agreed to meet for lunch.
Lunch
"You look dreadfully pale bradley," Charles voiced sitting down at the table, "You feel fine?" He sunk down into the comfortable cushion.
Bradley said, "I'M very fine, just a lot to do lately. I'm trying a more efficient fueling system." The owner of the restaurant came over. After some friendly
chatter since they knew the owner very well, they ordered some food.
"I'll be back with these in about ten minutes," said the owner Vincent. The food came
"I'll be back with these in about ten minutes," said the owner Vincent. The food came and they ate in silence for the most part. They had finished their
meals and was now getting up to leave. They left the restaurant and went back to their jobs.
